VINTAGE
The year 2025 is expected to produce an exceptional vintage. Following a mild winter and a wet spring, the growing season was marked by hot summer days with significant diurnal temperature variations. This combination of abundant sunlight allowed for optimal maturation, while cool nights helped preserve acidity, resulting in intensely aromatic wines that are both complex and well-balanced. We anticipate that this year’s Vermentino will only improve over the next five years.
VINEYARDS
This single estate vineyard block is located on a southwest-facing slope, characterized by rocky, calcareous soils rich in shale and quartz. At an elevation of 350 meters, the vineyard benefits from cool nighttime temperatures, which help preserve the fruit's acidity and aromatic profile during the ripening process.
VINIFICATION
The Vermentino is hand-harvested before being whole-cluster pressed with a small amount of Viognier to enhance structure and body. The juice is then held at 10°C for 48 hours to promote natural clarification before undergoing a two-week, low-temperature fermentation that preserves the wine's aromatic qualities.
TASTING NOTES
This medium-bodied white wine presents a pale gold hue and is intensely aromatic, featuring notes of elderflower, stone fruit, and citrus. Well-balanced, it culminates in a long, refreshing finish that leaves a lasting impression of minerality.
