Our Story
Our Story
Originating from Bergamo in Northern Italy, our family has long held a profound appreciation for the land, coupled with a strong sense of stewardship. While we are actively involved in the historical family business, Arizzi Fonderie San Giorgio SpA, that has been in the family for generations, the agricultural sector has remained a significant aspect of our lives. A visit to the stunning Tuscan countryside, characterized by its picturesque landscapes and tranquil lifestyle, deeply inspired us, ultimately leading to the acquisition and management of Podere Arizzi, our organic wine estate located on the outskirts of the charming village of Murlo in the province of Siena.
With a passion for cycling in the family, it was during one of our trips that we had the pleasure of exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside close up. We fell in love with it's beautiful natural scenery, turning what was a casual trip into an annual event. It was during one of these visits that we stumbled upon a wonderful property that had amazing potential and a breathtaking view. We decided to make it our own, restoring the structure into a traditonally inspiried but modern winery, and planted new vineyards around the estate: our dream of Podere Arizzi was born!
While still based in Bergamo, we work with our winemakers and entrust them to manage the estate, knowing that under their skilled care, our vines are in safe hands being transformed into beautiful high quality wines.
Our estate is under the stewardship of winemakers Jacopo and Emily Parisi, an international husband-and-wife duo deeply passionate about their craft.
Jacopo, a native of Bergamo, studied Viticulture and Enology at the University of Milan. After graduation he left Italy to work in some of the most prestigious wine regions around the world, and it was during his time in Napa Valley, California, that he met Emily, and they forged an immediate connection through their shared passion for agriculture and winemaking.
Central to their winemaking philosophy is the belief that exceptional wine is not merely crafted but rather cultivated. They prioritize sustainability and meticulous care for the vineyards, skillfully blending traditional and modern techniques while emphasizing organic practices.
Under their guidance, the estate produces wines celebrated for their complexity, elegance, and authenticity—each bottle reflecting both the distinctive characteristics of the land and their unwavering dedication to the art of winemaking.
